Year of the Younginz. New faces. New energy. New era. The April edition captures the wave of young players turning preparation into pro moments — at the GA Cup, in MLS debuts, on Bundesliga stages, and on international fields from Portugal to Cascais.

Samba to Silverware

Red Bull Bragantino U-16s dance their way to GA Cup glory

Red Bull Bragantino's U-16s brought flair and confidence to the Generation Adidas Cup, playing with a rhythm that felt like performance and competition at the same time. Their movement off the ball was sharp. Their combinations were quick. Their attacking style was fearless. They set the tone from the start.

They sealed it with a 1–0 win over FC Copenhagen in the final. Joebis Ferreira Pereira, a left back, earned MVP honors after impacting both sides of the game.

This run was about more than results — it was about culture and connection. Bragantino celebrated with their fans and brought energy to every match. The dances, the moments, the presence. Blending Brazilian creativity with the Red Bull intensity, they did not just win the GA Cup. They made it a show.

From Spain to the Summit

Valencia U-15s win it all at the Generation Adidas Cup

Valencia CF came to the Generation Adidas Cup with a point to prove. They left with everything. A 5–0 win over the Seattle Sounders FC in the final put a stamp on a dominant run. Valencia dropped 3 or more goals in every knockout match and finished 6-1-0 with a tournament-best 23 goals.

This was culture. This was presence. The energy never dipped. The group stayed locked in and played with real swagger. Pablo Jiménez Luque took over and earned MVP honors. Iker Frías Barrajon held it down and claimed Defensive MVP. Valencia did not just win games — they owned the moment.

The Pipeline Produces

MLS College Showcase standouts turn MLS debutants

The jump from showcase to the league is real, and this group proved it. The MLS College Showcase continues to deliver, with standouts stepping straight into the spotlight and making noise at the next level.

Jack Jasinski wasted no time. He made his debut for the San Jose Earthquakes on April 11, 2026 against Sporting Kansas City. Ten days later, he found his first MLS goal in a 5–1 win over Austin FC on April 22nd. Instant impact.

Harvey Sarajian, the No. 5 pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft, made his debut for Orlando City SC against the Houston Dynamo on April 19th. He has been on fire with Orlando City B, putting up 4 goals and 4 assists, earning consistent call-ups to the first team.

Nicholas Simmonds, the No. 3 pick and a Generation Adidas signing out of the University of Virginia, made his debut for FC Dallas in a 2–2 draw against the LA Galaxy on April 18th. Another showcase product stepping into the league with confidence.

This is what the pipeline looks like. Opportunity meets preparation. Names turn into pros.

From Academy Roots to the Pro Ranks

Jeremy Medranda signs with CT United

Jeremy Medranda is the moment. The latest product of the pathway to make the jump, turning years of development into a pro opportunity with CT United. Built through the academy system, his rise reflects consistency, growth, and belief in the process.

This move is about more than a contract. It is about stepping into what he has been building toward. From training grounds to the pro environment, Medranda enters a new level where the speed, intensity, and expectations all rise. This is what the culture produces. This is what the grind looks like when it pays off. Another name in the pipeline. Right now, it is his moment.

History in Black & Yellow

Mathis Albert becomes youngest American to debut in the Bundesliga with Dortmund

Mathis Albert just made history with Borussia Dortmund, becoming the youngest American to debut in the Bundesliga. But this moment did not come out of nowhere — it is the result of a journey built through elite development, confidence on the ball, and a mentality that matches the stage.

He has been a familiar face across Drip FC content. A player we have been tracking, highlighting, and backing as one of the next ones up. The style has always been there. The flair. The confidence. The ability to turn moments into statements. He does not just play the game — he expresses it. From the way he moves to the way he celebrates, there is personality in everything he does.

This debut is not the ceiling. It is the start. The potential is through the roof, and now it has a stage to match. Another product of the culture. Another name stepping into the spotlight.

Record Breaker

UNC commit & U.S. U-17 star Maddie DiMaria drops 100 goals for Cor Jesu

Maddie DiMaria is rewriting what dominance looks like. The University of North Carolina commit and U.S. U-17 standout just hit a record-breaking 100 goals for Cor Jesu Academy, putting her in a different category.

This is not just production — this is presence. Every run, every finish, every moment feels inevitable. DiMaria plays with confidence, edge, and a striker's instinct that cannot be taught. She finds space, creates chances, and delivers when it matters.

Champions Abroad

U.S. Youth ODP 2010 & 2011 Girls win Iber Cup

The U.S. Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program 2010 and 2011 girls took their game global and brought the trophy back with them at the IberCup in Cascais, Portugal. Both groups went undefeated, showing real control, composure, and presence on an international stage.

The 2010 National Select team dominated the 2026 IberCup Cascais Championship, finishing with 22 goals scored and just 6 conceded. They rolled through the knockout rounds with a 6–0 win over Lillestrom in the quarterfinal, battled past FC Internazionale Milan in the semifinal (0–0, won on penalties), and closed it out with a 2–1 win over Manchester City in the final.

The 2011 National Select team matched that energy, winning the Gold Championship with an undefeated run. They scored 16 goals and conceded only 4, capped by a 3–2 win over SL Benfica in the final. Along the way, they picked up statement wins over SL Benfica (twice), AS Roma, Deportivo La Coruña, Real Betis, and SC Rio Tinto.

This was more than winning. This was culture. Confidence. Connection. From the U.S. to Europe, these teams did not just compete — they set the tone.

The Standard Rises

Girls Academy brings elite energy back to the GA Cup

The Girls Academy pulled up to the Generation Adidas Cup with real intent, and the level showed. The field brought together four GA All-Star teams representing the top domestic prospects alongside elite international sides like FC Bayern Munich, Real Madrid CF, Club América, and Japan's WE League All-Star team. The stage was global, and the energy matched it.

The GA Gray All-Star team set the tone, winning the U-16 Girls Division with a 4–0 statement over the GA Red team in the final. Isabella Ortiz led the way with a brace and earned Player of the Match honors in the final. Olivia Jones and Emily Bernachea added goals to cap it off.

Jones, a U.S. U-15 Women's National Team forward, was dominant throughout the run. She earned Player of the Match honors in a 5–0 win over Club América, showing pace, confidence, and presence every time she stepped on the field. Ortiz delivered all tournament, stepping up as a key piece in a star-studded attack and reinforcing her place as a top U.S. Youth National Team pool player.

This was not just talent — this was culture. The way the GA players competed, connected, and carried themselves set the tone. The standard is rising, and the Girls Academy is pushing it forward.

No Fear, Just Goals

Assists. Presence. They are playing free and attacking every moment. This is the next generation bringing real energy. No hesitation. No fear. Just production. From academy roots to the first team, these players are showing they belong and changing games early in the season.

Chowan Built. ACC Bound.

D2 All-American & All-Region freshman Cameron Letterlough commits to NC State

Cameron Letterlough, a North Carolina native, made his mark at Chowan University and is taking that momentum to the next level with a commitment to North Carolina State University.
